Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our in-depth FAQ center for trailer-mounted solar power stations. Whether you’re a seasoned off-grid homesteader or just getting started with energy independence, this page is designed to answer your most common — and uncommon — questions.

🔌 General Product Questions

It’s a fully self-contained, trailer-mounted solar system that generates and stores electricity using the sun. Ours includes solar panels, battery storage, inverter systems, and multiple outlets to power tools, appliances, or even your entire home.

They’re ideal for rural preppers, homesteaders, landowners, mobile contractors, and anyone seeking silent, portable, off-grid power with zero fuel dependency.

Yes. Many customers live off-grid full-time using our Enclosed model, especially in sunny regions. Full off-grid use depends on your power needs and usage patterns.

Ours are designed for rugged use, fast deployment, and real-world prepper scenarios. We offer high-capacity LiFePO4 batteries, 120v and 240v outputs, and both flatbed and enclosed models. Plus, they qualify for up to a 40% federal solar tax credit.

Not at all. It’s 100% silent when running. No engine, no exhaust, no noise.

Depending on your usage and model, you can run essentials for 1–3 days without sun thanks to the onboard battery storage.
The system will capture all the energy it can from the sun, but for extended outages, you can supplement power with a add-on generator for quick and easy battery recharging in less than ideal circumstances.

💡 Power & Performance

The Flatbed model delivers up to 5,800W of solar input and 24 kWh of storage. The Enclosed model delivers up to 8,000W of solar and 38.4 kWh of storage.

Most users run fridges, freezers, lights, power tools, well pumps, security systems, routers, and more. The Enclosed model can power whole-home loads in many situations.

Yes. Both models include 120v and 240v outputs for running larger equipment, tools, or well pumps.

Yes, assuming your load matches the station’s inverter capacity. Most well pumps, freezers, or barn tools are supported.

The battery bank carries over power during cloudy periods. You can also add the optional generator backup for long overcast stretches.

Depending on your usage and model, you can run essentials for 1–3 days without sun thanks to the onboard battery storage.

Yes. Each unit comes with a user-friendly digital monitoring panel and optional app-based interface. Internet connection for remote monitoring is also available.

Each bank of solar panels rotates to the optimal position to maximize energy production. Just park the trailer perpendicular to the position of the sun at noon, and rotate the panels to the optimal azimuth (based on your latitude). Takes less than 1 minute. The panels will not rotate, but will generate power from the sun across the entire day. Over time as the sun becomes higher or lower in the sky, manually rotation of the panels is required to maximize power production. However, these adjustments take less than a minute.

Our batteries are LiFePO4. LiFePO4 (“Lifepo” or “LFP”) battery technology uses non-toxic phosphates, not hazardous elements like cobalt or lead, allowing it to withstand higher temperatures with superior thermal and chemical stability for added safety. LFP batteries are highly resilient during oxygen loss, so they don’t ignite in the event of mishandling, and won’t deteriorate in high temperature environments.

Yes, our power stations are designed to be used even in extreme weather situations. With the extreme weather add-on, each battery has an integrated heater for operation in cold environments.

⚙️ Setup & Installation

No electrician is required for basic use — just park, unfold, and plug in. However, for whole-house integration, a licensed electrician may need to install compatible receptacles or interface with your main panel.

Each unit includes standard 120v and 240v outputs, in 20 amp, 30 amp and 50 amp configurations. An optional 50-amp Spiderbox breakout system is also available for “remote” connections. When you reserve your station you can choose additional configurations to meet your needs.

Yes — with the right receptacles and transfer switch installed by an electrician.

Not for mobile or standalone use. If tying into a permanent home circuit, local codes may apply. Check with your municipality.

Most users are up and running in under 30 minutes. No trenching, wiring, or roof work needed.

Depending on your usage and model, you can run essentials for 1–3 days without sun thanks to the onboard battery storage.

Yes, heavy-duty outdoor extension cords work well for barns, sheds, and essential loads.

🚗 Mobility & Portability

Each unit is mounted on a standard trailer frame with a hitch. We recommend towing with a 3/4-ton truck or larger.

Yes! That’s a huge benefit. You can power multiple properties, move during a sale, or reposition for sun exposure.

The Flatbed model is 22′, the Enclosed model is 24′. If your site allows RV access, these units will typically fit.

Flatbed: approx. 4,500 lbs. Enclosed: approx. 6,000 lbs. Tongue weight varies. We provide exact specs upon reservation.

Yes. Units are weather-resistant and built for permanent outdoor use.

Each unit includes lock points. We recommend wheel locks or GPS trackers if left unattended long-term.

💰 Tax Credit & Incentives

Yes. If used as a primary or secondary power source for your home or business, it likely qualifies under the ITC.

We provide a full invoice and documentation. Your tax preparer will file IRS Form 5695 for residential energy credit.

Possibly. Eligibility depends on how the system is used. Many part-time residences still qualify. Talk to your CPA.

Yes. The credit is available to the purchaser — not renters or leases.

Credits apply to the tax year of delivery. Current rates are set through 2032.
